1Avoid, the slider/cover is concave and just fills up with coffee when you take a drink then splatters everywhere after.
By J. Thomas
This thing was supposed to bring balance to the Yeti, not make it worse!

It's a pretty terrible design. The slider/cover part is concave and just fills up with coffee after every sip. Then when you close it, it splatters coffee out all over you and whatever is near it.

Simply making the clips perfectly centered and the channel they fit into centered, it would have prevented this but with its current design, the slider cannot pull back far enough to avoid filling with coffee when you drink.

I returned this lid and recently received a lid from Buddy Drinkware with a slider that is flush/flat and resolves all the issues this lid has.

Avoid this until they revise the design.

4Excellent for its intended purpose, just be sure to know what that is!
By Smithmeister
I purchased this lid as a replacement for the Wal-Mart Ozark Trail 20z tumbler. I wanted the ability to use a straw but more importantly have some protection against inadvertent spills and splashes with it being on a stroller. The fit is very good, the seal around the rim / perimeter is excellent, definitely no leaks there. The plastic is clear and allows you to see the contents and its level with ease, it gives off the perception that it is a quality piece of manufacture.

The locking / sliding mechanism is functional for what it is advertised to do. It is NOT an anti-leak lid and it does not seal it when closed. What it does do is prevent inadvertent spills if it is knocked around, or gives you a few seconds to pick it up if you knock it over. If you fill it, close the slider and then tip it upside down it is going to continually leak, so if your intention is to get one and put it inside your back to prevent leaking..... it will not work for you. I think that is the issue with many of the reviews.

Personally I think this could easily be remedied with a little rubber coating on the end of the slider that allows it to create a good solid seal with the outer rim of the lid. But again, I did not purchase it thinking it would do this.

I purchased it to use around Disney World to keep drinks and ice for my kids while allowing me to mitigate spills from being bobbed around in the stroller. It worked a treat. I coupled it with a stainless Starbucks straw and that combo allowed the kids to drink copious amounts of fluid without the worries of spilling it through the original lid.

5I've recently bought a stainless steel tumbler from Walmart (made by Ozark Trail) and have been ranting to everyone in my family
By Nardomang
I purchased these lids for my mother and her friend from Iceland. I've recently bought a stainless steel tumbler from Walmart (made by Ozark Trail) and have been ranting to everyone in my family how awesome they are compared with yeti and rtic. For $9, you cant beat the price. My mother picked up on for her and her friend before a trip to Phoenix, and they both mentioned that they wanted a lid that could close to prevent spilling. So I took to Amazon, and found these lids. I was iffy on picking a lid, because everything said they were made for Yeti, RTIC, etc. No mentions of Ozark Trail, but I went with my gut and purchased it anyway. 2 days later they arrived and my mother couldn't be any happier on the fitment in our mugs. All in all, everyone is happy with the quality of the products and fitment. And of course now they don't have to worry about spills. Thanks!
