4great value but not quite as nice as a Yeti
By Michael B.
I have a Yeti 65 and an RTIC 20 soft & 45 hard cooler. This hard cooler holds ice as well as a Yeti but the finish is not as nice. There are more marks & blemishes on the roto finish then a Yeti - the Yeti had no blemishes. The top & corners have some mold marks and the finish is uneven with a blemish on the back. The lid does not stay open but does on the Yeti. The latches are a bit thinner but are easier to close. If you stand on it you can feel the seal flex & squeak a bit but it does not on the Yeti. I ordered mine from Amazon and the feat had a sand like substance on them. Considering the side blemishes this may have been a second or returned item. There were also some scrapes on the corner. No biggie as once you use these they will get some scrapes but overall it's tough. Looks like many of the Yeti accessories (locks, pads, straps, etc.) will work with this one. The Igloo Sportsman 65 cooler that Sam's Club sells has an even worse roto mold finish then this RTIC 45. Overall this as a great utilitarian cooler and unmatched at this price. I recommend it. Note that RTIC is currently being sued by Yeti and that made me nervous to order one on their website due to the 2 month delivery delay. The outcome of this lawsuit may also effect future warranty claims. A concern for my soft cooler which does not have the burly zipper of the Yeti soft coolers. RTIC did not reply to my written request regarding warranty for the zipper.

2Mediocre rtic experience.
By Songmi Lee
Overall experience so far has been just okay...

I recently received the product but it seems like some of the components were not fully up to the the standard...

Biggest issue being rubber gasket on my rtic was in weird shape and don't seem to provide full seal around the edge. I'm working on getting this fixed. My review will update according to the rtic responds.

5Best investment!
By Amazon Customer
Got this cooler a day ago. Have a lot of friends with the 65. All of them say it's better than the YETI. As soon as I received it, I can tell the quality was better than any competitor. I had a YETI 20 and sold it for this one since I am a Contractor and outdoors very often. It's a tad more spacious for ice. As of right now I have no complaints! No water has drained from the cooler yet!
